You Shook Me All Night Long: A-Bomb wins it in 15

Saturday, August 8, 2009

We've got an abbreviated recap, because I need some sleep and I have to work tomorrow.

Red Sox 0
Yankees 2

You don't need me to tell you that the Player of the Game, Play of the Game, and the Turning Point of the Game all revolve around A-Rod's walk-off home run.

I noticed that I had been using song titles for headlines, and it had been working, so I'm sticking with it.

NOTES:

  • The Yankees pick up their 10th walk-off win of the season, and move 4.5 games of the Red Sox for 1st place in the AL East.
  • John is going to have some great stories to tell from this game.
  • The Yankees lead this series 2-0, so they just need to win one of the next 2 to win this series.
  • I'm thinking it will be two weeks before this is on Yankee Classics on YES.
TOMORROW:
Red Sox at Yankees, 4PM on FOX (have fun listening to Buck and McCarver)

SEE YA!
