Time of the Season

WP: Burnett

LP: Martinez
S: Rivera

PLAYER OF THE GAME: AJ Burnett. Burnett threw seven innings striking out nine in the biggest game of his career and the Yankees season.

PLAY OF THE GAME: Mark Teixeira's fourth inning home run. Got things started for the Yankees, and hopefully Texieira out of a slump.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME: Hideki Matsui's sixth inning home run to put the Yankees up 2-1. That's all they needed as they won 3-1.

I'm going to bed...game notes and more tommorow.
