GAME 6 Postponed

Saturday, October 24, 2009

Game 6 of the ALCS has been postponed to Sunday at 8 p.m. due to inclement weather. It was raining off and on in the Bronx and the forecast was just not good enough to try and play in. Tickets for Game 6 will be honored tommorow night. Now, how does this affect the Yankees?

Well, Andy Pettitte will start Game 6, and Sabathia Game 7 (which would be Monday) if the series goes seven games and the Yankees win, they will unable to align Sabathia to pitch 3 games like they did in the ALCS. But we'll worry about that should the time come.

The Angels now have the option of possibly pitching Jered Weaver, who is a much better option than Joe Saunders. The Angels can also now have John Lackey pitch on 3-days rest for Game 7 should there be one.

This obviously helps the Angels a little more than the Yankees because they are able to have their ace Lackey go against Sabathia should there be a game 7.

On another note, there are so many off days during the postseason this year, and they knew the forecast called for rain ahead of time, so I just don't understand why they didn't decide to play an afternoon game today. If they played at 1 0r 2 they could have easily got the game in.

That could be it for today, we will let you know if there are any more updates.

See Ya!
