Pitching: LHP David Price (7-7, 4.75).

Jeter Meter: Jeter is still 3 hits from tying the Iron Horse for the franchise records in hits after going 0-8 in the doubleheader yesterday.
High Watermark: The Yankees are 39 games over .500, the alst time they were 40 games over was the end of the 2004 season when they finished 101-61.
Still Philthy: Phil Hughes has not allowed a run in his last 12.1 innings pitched.
Oh, No! Not Dr. Andrews!! Bad news today out of the Yankee Universe. David Robertson is scheduled to see Dr. James Andrews with "tightness" in his right elbow. Robertson has gone under the radar as an effective pitcher this season and could be a pretty big loss if he misses the playoffs.

UPDATE 7:32: Hey, there's something you don't see very often. A Yankee Stadium home run by Nick Swisher and it's 1-0 Yankees.

UPDATE 7:54: I feel like people are reacting as if Jeter's next hit breaks the franchise record. He still needs 4 more hits to do it. But I guess there isn't much to focus on when your 39 games over .500 and 9 games up in the division in the beginning of September.

UPDATE 8:23: Anybody else notice how Kay is expressing that Joba should be in the pen by trying to show a closer is more important than a starter? Plus, the Rays case is different from the Yankees because they moved their closer to a starter, whereas Joba is an eigth inning guy.
