Matsui DH
Posada C
Cano 2B
Swisher RF
Cabrera CF

Pitching: RHP Joba Chamberlain (6-2, 3.86).

RAYS (55-46)
Upton CF
Crawford LF
Longoria 3B
Zobrist 2B
Pena 1B
Burrell DH
Gross RF
Navarro C
Bartlett SS

Pitching: RHP Matt Garza (7-7, 3.68).

TIME/TV: 7:10, YES, ESPN.

Joba Rules: Chamberlain has been dominant since the All-Star Break, allowing only 2 runs in 13.2 innings of work. He has a 1.88 ERA in his career against the Tampa Bay Rays.

One more time: A-Rod needs one more home run to tie Twin-great Harmon Killabrew for 9th on the All-Time home run list.

Rubber Match: The teams split the first two games of this series, so tonight's winner will win this series, and also take the lead in the season series.

UPDATE 7:49: I thought this was a baseball game, but in the past five minutes, I've seen more people eating than people playing baseball.

UPDATE 8:00: 2nd and 3rd, no one out, they need to score two runs. Posada failed to score, and now Cano at least gets a run in as he fails to get a hit with runners in scoring position.

UPDATE 8:35: "You know why the Yankees play Burrell to pull? Because that's what he does." Wow. I am so glad Michael Kay was here to tell me that.

UPDATE 9:05: Joba just needs to get through the 7th, and then hand it off to Hughes and Mo for the 8th and 9th. Getting a run won't hurt, however.

UPDATE 9:13: Joba's at 88 pitches through 7 and is dealing. Send him back out there!

UPDATE 9:22: Good work by Jorge there, getting his pitcher another insurance run.
