Yankees 8 9 1
Angels 14 16 1

WP: Weaver (10-3)
LP: Pettitte (8-5)

PLAYER OF THE GAME: In a game where A-Rod and Hinske both hit TWO home runs, neither are getting Player of the Game. It's going to Yankee-killer Mike Napoli. He went 2-4 with a home run 3 RBI and 3 runs scored in the 14-8 rout.

PLAY OF THE GAME: There were seven home runs in this game. So...lets just give it to Brett Gardners catch in the first inning. It will be on web gems and he had Figgins doubled off but the ump said otherwise.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME: Bottom of the fifth. Angels scored 7 runs, Yankees couldn't recover.

GAME NOTES:

  • It was deja vu all over again. Yankees blew a 5-0 lead yesterday. They blow a 4-0 lead today. Everyone root for the Rangers to win the NL West.

  • A-Rod hit two home runs today, his 569 and 570th of his career passing Palmeiro for 10th on the all-time list. That's fourth for the all-time steroid users list.

TOMMOROW:
Sabathia vs Lackey 3:30 on YES. Pray for a win and hope the big man comes through.

See Ya!
